Bringing over 36 years of experience in dental care, Dr. Keith R. Konvalinka has extensive training and is highly skilled in the most advanced treatment techniques. Since graduating from University of Michigan Dental School back in ’81, he has demonstrated his commitment to keeping abreast of the latest developments in the health field. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and a contributing writer for the MDA Journal, as well as various other dental publications. Dr. Konvalinka extends his acumen to the area of professional ethics for dentistry and the medical field as a lecturer at various seminars, and as acting Chairman of the Kalamazoo Investigational Review Board, overseeing research conducted at Westside Medical Center. Dr. Konvalinka is engaged in giving back to the community, as both a member of the American Civil Liberties Union as well as various conservational organizations, which help maintain the natural beauty and wildlife of Kalamazoo and the greater Michigan area.
Placing an emphasis on preventive dental care, Dr. Konvalinka encourages his patients to come in for regularly scheduled checkups to examine the teeth, gums, and jaws, and to perform professional teeth cleanings. By coming in just two times a year, Dr. Konvalinka can monitor your oral health, and address any conditions early on, when they can be most easily and effectively treated. For our pediatric patients, we make visits to the dentist a positive experience, encouraging the establishment of good dental hygiene habits, and having fun doing it. He takes the time with parents and their children for instruction in proper techniques for brushing and flossing.
